They say that he is a swordsman...I say he's a samurai. Apparently, no one knows his exact identity, though those who have seen him can recognize him due to the scar on his right cheek. Some think that he possesses demonic powers, but no one has yet to validate whether or not that is true. Kakeru's nickname is whispered occasionally..."Vermilion". He is an unusual character because he fights with the Katana, a weapon which is considered old in the world of Hinokakera. Kakeru's power with this "old" weapon is so great, he often leaves it in its sheath because the power of the blade can surprise even himself at times. Being the relaxed and somewhat vulgar type, Kakeru doesn't care about much of anything. All he needs is a cigarette and he should be good. Kakeru is a shoe-in for the most underdeveloped character story-wise. Unless a future version of the game chronicles all of his exploits, he does not even make an appearance in story mode and is the only character to do so, unless I've done something wrong (which is next to impossible due to the linearity of Story mode).
